Besley used his views in several ways not only as a complete book as above but also seperately the two counties. He further split these books down to small guide books with a title “TEN VIEWS ROUND ——-” There are variations particularly if the Railway had arrived he was in the habit of updating the view by recutting the stations and viaducts. Very few are dated however the imprints are sometimes hidden within the engraving. These are noted in the catalogue. He used a yellow paper for the complete books and white for the small guide books but these are inclied to be cropped top and sides.
